Theme: July Writing Prompt 2014 #01 - July 01
Prompt:
Author: Alaylith
Rating: PG
Universe: BBC (S1)
Characters: Sherlock
Word Count: 139
Summary: Never before did Sherlock have to consider another person, so he is quite surprised when he miscalculates.
A/N: Hey, I am still alive. Watson's Woes July Writing Prompts started and this year I want to participate again. Haven't been writing anything since... NaNoWriMo2013 I think - so more than 6 months ago...
This is not much, just a little drabble for the prompt. Don't have any idea for a bigger story to connect these prompts to (yet), so for now we will see what will happen over the next few days. :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sherlock always calculates everything in his life and he knows everything related to his work.
He knows his city, he knows the criminals and he knows his own body.
Every step he takes within his city is secure and precise, there is nothing that can go wrong.
That is the reason why he can cross streets whenever he wants or jump from building to building.
That is the reason why almost no criminal can escape him when he is on the hunt.
He never fails.
Until today.
Sherlock never had to consider another person, never had to calculate another person's abilites.
It never occured to him that another person may not be able to follow his steps, because he calculated them so perfectly.
Perfectly for himself.
So Sherlock is taken by surprise when - following his lead - John slips.
