Summary: Sherlock watches over John while he sleeps.

A/N: My five choosen words were nightmare, shoot, fear, shame and horror.

And I just realised that I have some kind of fascination with sleeping, watching other sleep or over them while they sleep, etc. o_o

Oh and as I shared a room with two others last weekend, I was promptly informed that I snore. XD

Sherlock wonders what John is dreaming about, as he watches John’s sleeping form toss in his bed.

John’s fever is thankfully no longer dangerously high and Sherlock thought that this night he might be able to leave John alone.

The moment he was about to leave the room, the nightmare started.

Normally Sherlock can make an educated guess about the subject of the nightmares, but this time he does not know what it is about.

It is not about the war – all nightmares related to the war are reflected by the shame and horror on John’s face.

Shame that he was wounded and thus crippled and horror just about everything that happened there.

But now John’s face shows only one emotion – fear.

And whoever is responsible for this, whoever haunts John in his nightmares – when Sherlock finds him, he will gladly shoot the person.
